Born in East Germany, where she studied design and photography, Simone worked in London, Vienna and New York City for over 20 years as an art director and illustrator. Simone's design work has won several awards by SPD, ADDY, ASBPE and others. Her illustrations have been published in Entrepreneur Magazine, AARP, The Washington Post, American Express Publishing, Disney Publishing, The Wall Street Journal, On Wall Street magazine, New York Daily News, Florida Trend, St. Petersburg Times, SmartMoney magazine, Sierra Magazine, BusinessWeek, Newsweek and many others. She started off with collage illustrations and has found over the last years back to her roots of watercolor and line-work. She shares her time between Florida and Germany, where she lives on a little farm and has her studio in an old fortress near Weimar. Simone loves to cook, hike, spending time with her family and doing pottery. close
