Alessandra Scandella is an illustrator based in Milan working for advertising and publishing projects.In 2004 she co-founded the Studio Container, in Milan, which deals with illustration, graphic design, video and animation. Alessandra’s watercolors are exhibited at Il Vocabolario della Moda Italiana, at the Triennale di Milano, with the best fashion illustrators in Italy. She takes part of Illustri Festival, an exhibition at Gallerie d’Italia, about italian illustration, organized by Premio Illustri, and Idee in Fuga, an exhibition at Base, Milano. Since 2019 Alessandra begins a collaboration with Editoriale Domus. She is teaching at IED and International School of Comics, in Milan. Her latest projects are watercolor animations, for Bulgari, Ifaw (USA) and Tuk Music (Paolo Fresu). Among her clients: Max Mara, San Pellegrino, La Repubblica, Patek Philippe, Ferrari, Bulgari, Tod’s and Lavazza, for which she illustrated a calendar with Steve McCurry’s photos. She also made watercolors about human rights for Amnesty International and developed projects sponsored by FAI and Unicef. She recently drew the watercolor illustrations for San Pellegrino Reservation Book 2023, and a watercolor animation for Max Mara. Alessandra takes part of Across Europe With Best Fashion Illustration, an exhibition in Poland with the best fashion illustrators in Europe. With Studio Container she made the graphic and illustrations for an exhibition in Milan entitled Outfit ‘900, at Palazzo Morando, about fashion style in nineties. Alessandra paints the watercolors for “Frida Vestida”, a book about Frida Kahlo’s fashion style, edited by 24ORE Cultura, presented at Mudec, Museum of Culture, in Milan, during the exposition of the mexican artist. She’s part of a project to help Amatrice’s earthquake: 401 E’ Amatrice, with photo by Giovanni Gastel, and an exhibition at Triennale di Milano.
