Tim Foley was born in Flint, Michigan in 1962, spent most of his school years in the nearby town of Durand, Michigan, and attended college at the Kendall School of Art in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After several years as an Art Director at a local design firm, he began his freelance illustration career in 1989. For over three decades his work has appeared in national and international newspapers and magazines, in advertising promotions, museums, toys, and is the author of several books under his own name. Most recently he adapted Dan Rather's "What Unites Us" into a graphic novel.
