Graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2021, she now holds a BFA in Illustration and a knack for digital art. While in her senior year of college she was given the Black Illustrator's Award, hosted by well renowned illustrator and professor at FIT, Jason Raish. After graduating, Shaniya had a complete style change, going from fully rendered portrait illustrations to work consisted of line, flat color and texture. The subject matter she's most known for working with are portraiture, fully conceptual illustrations that are reminiscent to editorial work, and food. Shaniya primarily works with Procreate, Photoshop, and ClipStudio Paint, fully honing her skills in all three. close
